In an email to my good friend Rebecca today I said (in relation to my computer woes) that if my hard drive has died I’m thoroughly rotated like a threaded metal fastening pin.
According to Rebecca this is word for word a line from Big Bang Theory, a show that I have watched all of twice, and was not terribly impressed with.
Apparently I’m channeling Chuck Lorre. This cannot be a good thing, no matter how you look at it…
You obviously haven’t seen the episode when bombasticly stupid Douglas Reynholm (a.k.a. Dixon Bainbridge) sews his own suit in a hilarious montage when he is told by Jen to prepare for his court trial. Comedy gold!
And who can forget Spaceology: “It’s a religion, not a cult!”

“Spacestar Ordering is based on the 2 scientific principles of star maths and wishy thinking!” Comedy gold! I rest my case, your honour.
I’d take that as a compliment. Big Bang Theory is a funny well written show that appeals to all types. It speaks to the hidden and not so hidden nerd/geek in all of us.
Ah Ryan, you appear to be confusing Big Bang Theory (meh) with The IT Crowd (best thing on TV ever!) 🙂
oh…how in hell did I read ‘Big Bang Theory’ as ‘IT Crowd’? I should wash my eyes out with soap. I throw a critical failure in finding any enjoyment watching BBT.
MAWhahahaha. BAHAHAHAHA!! Oh I miss you guys! That was classic. TV Show confusion reigns supreme!
I’d also like to record here that I do not, as such, watch the show. The children do. I heard the line as it was repeated through out an entire episode… then repeated afterwards by said children.
